Day 1: Johannesburg - Panorama Route
Welcome to South Africa!
Once you arrive and have gone through passport control you move through to the International arrival hall where you will be met by a representative. They will be holding a sign with your name on it so you don’t miss them. They will hand over a printed copy of your travel documents and answer any questions that you may have. They will assist you to the car rental counter to pick-up your vehicle.
Your journey continues with a 4-hour drive to your first hotel: Iketla Lodge. We will give you printed directions, as well as the contact numbers of the hotels, in case you need assistance. Check-in and relax in your home for the next three nights.

Day 2: Panorama Route
Today you can spend the day exploring the Panorama Route and Blyde River Canyon nearby.
A beautiful picturesque destination not to be missed when visiting this region! Please note that entrance fees to these places are not included.
As many excursions are weather dependent, it is a better idea not to pre-book them. Don’t forget your camera so you can take some stunning photos!

Today you can stop at Perry's Bridge in Hazyview for lunch.

Day 4: Panorama Route - Kruger National Park
Enjoy your last breakfast at Iketla Lodge before taking the road again for approximately 4 hours towards your next destination, the Kruger Park and the Rhino Post Safari Lodge.
Time for the first safari experience of your stay!
A two night stay at the Rhino Post Safari Lodge awaits you with two daily safari activities.
A natural extension of the bush and landscape, Rhino Post Safari Lodge welcomes you to South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park.
We recommend that you arrive just after 13:00 in order to have lunch and have time to settle into your room before you depart for your afternoon safari activity.
Don't be too impatient, you might not see the Big Five immediately but remember there are still 2 safaris planned tomorrow too! This is really a very exciting and beautiful experience. After the safari or also called game drive, you'll return back to the lodge for refreshments and dinner.

Day 5: Kruger National Park
Today is your first full day in this safari lodge! Enjoy the 2 daily game drives! One in the morning and one in the afternoon. Or you can switch the one in the afternoon with a Bush Walk where you will be able to really enjoy the peace and tranquility of the bush without the sound of your game drive vehicle.
Are there any animals that you haven't seen and would like to see? Or do you want to see more of a certain animal? Tell your ranger of this and he will try to find it for you.

Day 6: Kruger National Park - Stellenbosch
After breakfast at Rhino Post, check out of the lodge and make your way to KMIA airport where you will return your car and catch your domestic flight to Cape Town. It is just over an hour flight to get to Cape Town.
Once you have landed at Cape Town International Airport, you will pick up your second rental car and drive through to your accommodation situated in the Winelands: Spier, in Stellenbosch. Check-in and relax for the evening.
Make sure to visit all of the gorgeous wine estates in Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Somerset West during your stay.

Day 7: Stellenbosch
During the day we recommend you visit Stellenbosch and its many great wineries.
Take a Drive up to Sir Lowry's Pass to enjoy the views and taste good wines. You can have lunch at Overture or Guradian's Peak Restaurant while overlooking the valley below.
For dinner we definitely recommend Eike Restaurant in Dorp Street in Stellenbosch.

Day 8: Stellenbosch
Enjoy Franschhoek today and its artisan shops and great restaurants. You can also hop on the wine tram and travel from the one wine estate to the other without having to drive in between.
Afterwards take a ride to the Franschhoek Pass, a wonderful road with great sights on the surrounding mountains and hills.
After lunch, you can go to Babylonstoren and have a stroll in its lovely gardens. You can also enjoy their fresh farm stall and have a nice tea break, it is well worth the visit.

Day 9: Stellenbosch - Cape Town
Time for Cape Town City! After your breakfast at Spier take the road towards Cape Town and Tamboerskloof where you will be staying at the Parker Cottage for the next four nights.
If you would like to do some shopping you can visit the V&A Waterfront. Clifton beach is also just 10 minutes away by car with its great beaches. We also suggest visiting Camps Bay, a coastal town with a nice promenade and a good option for dinner this evening as there are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from here with a view on the ocean sunset.

Day 10: Cape Town
How about doing Table Mountain today?
You are welcome to either take a hike up the famous mountain as there are many trails to choose from or you can take the cable car to the top. Magnificent views from up here.
The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are also worth a visit, they have a wonderful restaurant in the garden, you might want to have lunch there.
Bo-Kaap is also a great neighborhood to see with its colorful houses and vibrant history, you can explore it on foot or hop-in the red City Sightseeing bus.
If you’re interested in history, you should definitely visit the Castle of Good Hope.

Day 11: Cape Town
Today we suggest a visit to the Cape Peninsula.
Take the road to Hout bay, here you can take a boat cruise to seal island if you wish and see this wonderful animals in their natural habitat. Then take Chapman's peak road to Simon's Town where you can stop for lunch and make sure to stop at Boulders Beach to see the penguins.
Then, continue on to the Cape Point. Take your walking shoes and once you have walked to the Cape Point view point, go and explore the trails in the nature reserve. As you arrive at the Cape Point entrance they will give you a map of the area and the walking trails. There are some lovely secluded spots in the reserve - go and explore! Keep an eye out for the Baboons, some buck and the odd snake whilst exploring.

Day 12: Cape Town
If you would like a day filled with South Africa’s past and present history and culture you might want to visit Robben Island or the oldest township of the cape: Langa Township.
Robben Island is mostly known for its very famous resident Nelson Mandela - Tata Mandela as he is lovingly referred to by South Africans. He spend most of his 27 year prison on this island which is now a museum and one of Cape Town’s top attractions. Take a ferry trip to and from the island which departs at the Waterfront and join a walking tour of the prison conducted by former inmates of the prison itself.

Day 13: Cape Town
All good things do come to an end. Make your way back to Cape Town International Airport, drop off your rental car and check in for your flight back. We hope you created many wonderful memories in South Africa!
