Desert Delights in Namibia

Dunes, deserts and deserted beaches

Namibia is a country of vast open spaces and empty horizons, and in this classic 12-night itinerary, you will get to experience for yourself why some call it the last wild frontier of Africa. The freedom of the open road is calling you on this self-drive adventure that starts and ends in the capital city of Windhoek. Packed with all the “must-see” places this starkly beautiful country has to offer, it is the perfect itinerary for the first-time traveller to Namibia. It takes in the famous white salt-pans and desert-adapted animals of Etosha, the incredible landscapes of Damaraland (home to the Himba tribe, one of the last true nomadic people of Africa), the long and deserted beaches of Swakopmund and the vast oceans of sand dunes at Sossusvlei (the world’s oldest desert and a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
