Day 1: Windhoek
Welcome to Namibia !
At your arrival in Windhoek you will meet with the car rental company who will help you fetch your 4x4. You can then head to Olive Grove Guesthouse, and relax there before starting your Namibian trip the next day.
The next 15 days will take you through two of Africa’s great deserts. Midway through your travels, the intriguing town of Swakopmund, nestled between desert and sea, guarantees to delight with its charming curio-shops, restaurants and not to be missed excursions for both the adventurer and more gentle nature lover alike. Rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and the wildlife haven of Etosha National Park with ancient discoveries and unforgettable wildlife sightings to enjoy.

Day 2: Okonjima Nature Reserve
Check out from Olive Guest House to start your first Namibian adventure at the Okonjima Nature Reserve which is equally famed for frequent cheetah and leopard sightings on its safaris, as well as The AfriCat Foundation. Since being founded in 1991, AfriCat’s mission has been to make significant contributions to conservation, while trying to ensure the survival of Namibia’s predators in their natural habitat. It undertakes research, community support and environmental education projects, as well as conservation work to rehabilitate carnivores such as cheetah and hyaena.

Day 3: Etosha National Park
In the heart of the country, Etosha National Park is reached via Outjo, a convenient place to stop for fuel, coffee and snacks. Don’t linger too long though, Etosha is waiting. After checking in to Etosha Safari Camp, if time allows, drive into the national park to sit at the large Okaukuejo waterhole, which is often frequented by wildlife, or take a drive to the surrounding waterholes. For those just wanting a siesta, put your feet up and relax with a book at the lodge pool. Etosha Safari Camp’s colourful Shebeen restaurant has become a highlight on travellers’ itineraries. Modelled on Namibia’s ‘shebeens’ (informal township bars) of old, it’s an enjoyable lively venue. The dinner feast is enjoyed outside in the courtyard to the sounds of the musicians strumming their guitars and singing local melodies.

Day 6: Palmwag
On the road again toward your overnight stop, the Palmwag Lodge, a paradise on the Uniab River in northwest Damaraland. Waving palms whispering in the wind, spectacular surroundings which harbour the famous desert elephant, the rare dessert adapted black rhino, giraffe, zebra, gemsbok and many other wild animal species and sunsets to dream of.
Stroll up the koppie in the late afternoon to watch the sun set and appreciate the expansive view over the mopane woodland before the inviting aromas of dinner call you back to the lodge. An alternate tarred route from Swakopmund leads inland from the desert and northwards to Damaraland via Karibib, Otjiwarongo and Outjo.

Day 7: Palmwag
This is a day to enjoy the ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and to explore the surroundings. Here, hunter-gatherer traditional healers spoke to their gods asking for healing, rain and luck for the hunt. The Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain are other interesting sites to visit in the area, as is the Damara Living Museum for some local culture. On your return journey, consider a stop at the Petrified Forest to view ancient fossilised tree trunks. After a full day of memorable discovery, make your way back to the warm and comfort of your Lodge.

Day 8: Swakopmund
Take a desert drive toward your next stop. Unwind and refresh in the warm and uplifting atmosphere of The Swakopmund Luxury Suites , before savouring some of Swakopmund’s fine cuisine.
Stroll through the town, visit the museum, pop into coffee shops and browse the selection of African curios.

Day 9: Swakopmund
Today in your second day in Swakopmund. Take a scenic flight and join a living desert tour!
Swakopmund is the activity playground of Namibia. Activities range from sky-diving and sand-boarding to the more peaceful desert trips. Enquire about your options from the hotel’s activity desk on your arrival and select your favourites for the day. Before you go, reserve a table at one of the many restaurants for dinner and if back in time, walk along the wooden jetty to watch the sun sink into the sea.

Day 10: Swakopmund
Make the most of your last day in Swakopmund by choosing your favourite activities! We guess you did not have time to experience them all yesterday. What about a Dolphin Cruise in the morning and Kayaking in the afternoon ? The choice is yours!

Day 11: Solitaire
Today you are heading to Solitaire and the gorgeous canyons of Gaub and Kuiseb. Check in at the Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge perfectly situaded in the middle of the desert and go explore!
Take a desert drive through the fascinating scenery of the Gaub and Kuiseb canyons. Just 30 minutes drive from Solitaire on the C14 road, you will then marvel at Gaub Pass which is glorious whichever way you look at it, with plenty of spaces to stop and admire. Then head to Kuiseb pass after another 30 minutes drive north and enjoy the stunning views again. Just remember to slow down because the drop is unforgivable.
After this full day, enjoy a variety of excellent meat, fish, pasta and vegetarian dishes, accompanied by fresh vegetables and salads in your hotel restaurant.

Day 12: Solitaire

Day 13: Sossusvlei
This morning you will live Solitaire after breakfast and check out to continue your journey into the Namibian Desert toward Sossusvlei. Check in at the Desert Camp and go explore!
The Sossusvlei area is also very known for many activities but you can also enjoy a self drive Tour. While you are here you should definitely visit Sesriem Canyon! You can also visit Dune 45 which is the highest dune in Namibia. The brave amongst you can climb to the top - the views will not disappoint the efforts!
End your day with the delectable buffet dinner experience of the Desert Camp.

Day 14: Sossusvlei
Today we go in the early morning to continue your adventure in Sossusvlei.
If you like we can organise a Balloon Safari for you or you can go on a quad bike excursion!
In the afternoon you can also enjoy the swimming pool of your hotel and relax in the sun before tasting its sensational cuisine on the terrace that offers magnificent views over Elim Dune and of the floodlit waterhole where you can watch the passing parade of oryx, springbok, jackal, ground squirrel and hyena, whilst enjoying exquisite food and wine.

Day 15: Mariental
Start the day by heading towards Mariental and the Zebra Kalahari Lodge & Spa.
After a short drive through the contrasting Kalahari Desert where game languish under trees or in pans, enjoy a refreshing drink at your hotel before swimming in the pool.
If you rather explore, your hotel will offer you many different activities such as a Dune Dinner or a Bushman Walk.

Day 16: Windhoek
Return to Windhoek to the Olive Grove Guesthouse for your last night in Namibia before heading back home.
Take the day to visit the city of Windhoek, a slice of green in the middle of the Namibian desert and the capital of the country.
Enjoy the quality restaurant of your guest house with its seasonal menu and inventive signature dishes and have a good night sleep before your flight tomorrow.

Day 17: Home sweet home
Today is your last day in Namibia. Check out from the Olive Grove Guest House and make sure you did not forget anything before you leave for the airport and head back home.
